This is Honhikida Shibori, which has become difficult to find no matter how much I look for it. This is a beautiful black homongi made by Hikita Shibori, with a stunning Arisugawa pattern.
Arisugawa is a pattern that comes from a famous cleft that belonged to a defunct imperial family. There are dozens of types of Arisugawa fissures, and they are characterized by their dull, multicolored use. It has a unique geometric pattern with deer, birds, horses, and dragons placed inside a sash made of triangles and squares with seven days in it. It has an exotic feel.
Hon Hikita Shibori is a technique that makes the grains even finer than Hikita Shibori. Wrap the silk thread around each grain seven times, then wrap it one more time at the base to tie it. Because the thread is wound more times than Hikita Shibori, the grains appear finer and more delicate. It takes a lot of time and effort, and is the work of highly skilled craftsmen. In recent years, there are very few people who can do it, so it has become difficult to make works like this.
