Life of Okami's “Strenuous Efforts”

---Steps to the Opening of The website---

8. Secretary or Kimono

While I was associated with Nakagawa Office, I kept thinking of “ What I am destined to do”. As I wanted to start from a scratch, I was looking for every possibility that I could think of.

I knew that many people working for the companies got sick from stress causing from

miscommunication with other people.

Communication is such an important for human relationships. So the focus of thought was if there was any way of successful communication other than verbal methods. There might be some other , and more effective way.

I even thought of my own method for successful communication if ever I had along with filling in the study of special subject in the field of psychology in America .

My though reached something which would help people in need.

But I had to give up that idea from the fact that it would take a long time and might scarify my family. Mr. Imai also disagreed my plan by saying, “ You'd better not go to school any more”

He seemed to have meant ‘ No more time left' , so I agreed oddly with him by interpreting his word such a way that ‘ Learning never finishes once you've started'.

So instead of ‘ Learning', I decided to take out what little potentiality I had.

One was ‘ KIMONO'. I figured it was the one existed in me as I'd liked it very much.

Kimono was something which closed my mind when I quit working and the thing I could be myself with.

There were three things as choices to take I might haven been able to deal with.

I analyzed the collected data from the Kimono industry, its problems, especially its declining was one. First, I would sell Kimonos to unfamiliar people with Kimonos, secondly, selling USHIKUBI-TSUMUGI, or ‘ USHIKUBI-Pongee' .

But I knew selling that high quality Kimonos was difficult. The last was going with a secretary, whose idea was, as a problem, namely that how I was able to carry on by the web-site.

I treasured Ms. Imai's word, “ Make the most of your carrier”.

So I brought two plans, ‘ Secretarial work' and ‘ Selling Kimonos' to Mr.

Nakagawa in the middle of June, two and a half months after my retirement.

Mr. Nakagawa showed interest in ‘ USHIKUBI-TSUMUGI' and suggested me that I should start from a secretarial work as I had an experience as a carrier.

But as I was anxious to do something in a hurry, I ended up starting to make an action plan of ‘ Net business of Kimonos'.

As to the secretarial work, I thought it was something which might be defeated by some strong competitor, a big company.

At the same time I clearly realized that I wasn't interested in working as a secretary any more. ‘Kimonos ‘ was the one I finally chose.
